Job Summary
As a Junior System Administrator, you will be part of the IT team supporting the day-to-day operation of the organization’s systems and infrastructure. This role focuses on learning, assisting with troubleshooting, and helping maintain reliable and secure systems under the guidance of senior team members. You will gain hands-on experience with a variety of technologies while contributing to the overall effectiveness of IT services.
Essential Job Functions / Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist with installation, configuration, and maintenance of systems, hardware, and software
- Support user accounts and access management (e.g., Active Directory, Microsoft 365)
- Help troubleshoot basic network, system, and application issues
- Provide helpdesk support to end-users both in-office and remotely
- Assist with routine system monitoring, updates, and maintenance tasks
- Support documentation of systems, processes, and procedures
- Work with senior team members on projects such as system upgrades, security improvements, and backups
- Learn and assist with networking fundamentals (DNS, DHCP, VPNs, etc.)
