Job Purpose
The Quality Manager ensures that the organization meets industry standards and regulatory requirements while maintaining high-quality products and services. The Quality Manager plays a critical role in maintaining the trust and satisfaction of customers and stakeholders by ensuring that products and services meet high-quality standards and comply with relevant regulations.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Quality Management Systems: Develop, implement, and manage quality control systems and tools to ensure continuous production that meets or exceeds established standards and regulatory requirements.
- Audits and Compliance: Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure adherence to industry standards, legal compliance, and customer expectations. This includes preparing audit plans and managing audit findings.
- Documentation Management: Oversee the documentation system for quality procedures, standards, and specifications, ensuring they are up-to-date and compliant with regulatory requirements.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with various departments to integrate quality considerations into new product development and existing product improvements.
- Training and Development: Provide training and support to staff on quality standards and compliance obligations, fostering a culture of quality within the organization.
- Advocate and promote a quality culture with continuous improvement and LEAN methodologies.
- Analyze Productivity/Quality data to establish action plans.
- Lead and train on Root Cause Investigations, and Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA/8D) activities.
- Investigate and fix troubleshooting issues with inspection processes.
- Conduct Value Stream Mapping activities, analyze, report, and make recommendations.
- Maintain and Improve Employee Suggestion System and analyze data to actualize potential Kaizen activities.
- Perform daily go and see activities. Lead or participate in problem solving teams and kaizen events to improve operating performance.
- Read and interpret simple electrical specifications, wiring, and circuit diagrams in order to have a better understanding of production roles.
- Provide problem-solving support for production operations.
- Accept other duties and responsibilities as assigned or when required by customer needs.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or Business, or 10 years of experience in a Quality Manager or Operations Manager position
- 10 years' experience in operations, quality, and continuous improvement
- Certification in Lean, Six Sigma, or other Continuous Improvement
