Role Description The Outside Sales Representative is a full-time position. The position receives a competitive base salary with an uncapped commission plan. They are responsible for driving growth by identifying new business opportunities and expanding existing customer relationships. This role includes visiting industrial customers, conducting sales calls and in-person meetings, and presenting repair and equipment solutions that align with their operational needs. The representative will prepare and deliver sales proposals, follow up on leads, and manage the sales pipeline from prospecting to closing. Day-to-day activities include coordinating with internal teams on pricing and service capabilities, maintaining accurate records in CRM tools, and providing ongoing support to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction. The role requires consistent travel within the assigned territory, active participation in networking or industry events, and collaboration with service and technical staff to offer informed recommendations.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess strong Sales Presentations skills, including the ability to clearly communicate value propositions and tailor solutions to customer needs.
- Candidates should possess Relationship Building capabilities to develop, maintain, and grow long-term partnerships with industrial customers.
- Candidates should possess Customer Service skills, with a focus on responsiveness, follow-through, and problem-solving for client inquiries and concerns.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills, both verbal and written, for interacting with customers, internal teams, and management.
- Candidates should possess New Business Development skills, including prospecting, lead qualification, and closing opportunities within an assigned territory.
- Relevant experience in outside or field sales, preferably in industrial services, equipment, or manufacturing environments.
- Ability to work independently, manage time and territory efficiently, and use CRM and basic office software tools.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel in assigned territory and surrounding areas. Territories are based around Ohio, SE Michigan and Indiana.
- Post-secondary education in business, marketing, or a related field is beneficial, but not required.
