Job Overview:

The Machine Builder role at AMS involves hands-on assembly and integration of mechanical and automated systems designed for material handling, pallet recycling, and timber processing industries. This position is responsible for constructing and troubleshooting complex machinery, including mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, with some basic electrical wiring. As a Machine Builder, you will work closely with our engineering and assembly teams to ensure each machine meets our high standards for quality and functionality, playing an integral part in delivering reliable, high-performance solutions to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the assembly and installation team to construct automated equipment and systems.
• Support mechanical assembly, including work with pneumatics, hydraulics, and some machine wiring.
• Interpret and follow assembly prints, equipment line layout prints, and hydraulic and pneumatic schematics.
• Adhere to AMS’s plant policies, procedures, EHS rules, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
• Maintain a strong safety commitment, including knowledge of Lockout/Tagout protocols.
• Use and maintain personal tools.
• Maintain a valid driver’s license or stable transportation.
• Occasional travel (not required but a plus).

Qualifications/Skills:

• 3-5 years of experience in a maintenance technician role.
• Proficiency in hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Ability to interpret assembly, equipment layout, and hydraulic/pneumatic prints.
• Some industrial electrical experience.
• Strong safety orientation, including Lockout/Tagout training.
• Valid driver’s license and stable transportation.
