Position Overview

As a Welder/Fabricator at AMS, you will be responsible for building high-quality structural components and assemblies used in our automated systems.
Key Responsibilities
- MIG weld and fabricate structural steel components including tube frame, plate steel, and I-beam assemblies.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to fabricate parts to specification.
- Cut materials using industrial saws and other fabrication equipment as needed.
- Use measuring tools to ensure accuracy, alignment, and fitment.
- Prepare, fit, and assemble components prior to welding.
- Maintain clean, organized work areas and equipment.
- Work collaboratively with the fabrication and assembly teams to keep projects moving on schedule.
Qualifications
- 5 years of experience in welding, fitting, and fabrication.
- Strong MIG welding skills with structural steel.
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
- Experience operating fabrication equipment such as band saws, drill presses, grinders, etc.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently while also contributing to a team environment.
- Ability to pass a weld test during the interview process.
Job Details
- Job Type: Full-time
- Shift: 1st Shift, Monday – Friday, 5:00 AM – 3:00 PM
- Occasional half-day Saturdays depending on project workload
- Pay: $24 – $28 per hour (based on experience and skill level)
