Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Field Service Technician to join our team. This role involves providing on-site technical support, maintenance, and repair services for manufacturing equipment and systems. Duties
- Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of manufacturing equipment, including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), hydraulics, and electrical systems.
- Troubleshoot complex issues using schematics, technical manuals, and analysis skills.
- Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure optimal operation of machinery and systems.
- Operate diagnostic tools such as ammeters, ohmmeters, and multimeters to assess electrical circuits, including high voltage and low voltage systems.
- Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) for work order management and documentation.
- Repair or replace mechanical components using precision measuring instruments, welding techniques (including
welding), and other mechanical tools. - Work with HVAC/R systems, scissor lifts, and other industrial equipment to ensure safety and compliance standards are met.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients and team members regarding technical issues and solutions.
- Maintain detailed records of service activities, parts used, and system performance.
Skills
- Extensive experience working in manufacturing facilities with a solid understanding of industrial maintenance practices.
- Proficiency in programming PLCs and understanding schematics for electrical and mechanical systems.
- Strong knowledge of hydraulics, HVAC/R systems, welding (including
welding), and industrial mechanics. - Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ammeters, ohmmeters, and other measurement instruments accurately.
- Familiarity with CMMS software for maintenance tracking.
- Excellent analysis skills to troubleshoot complex machinery issues efficiently.
- Mechanical knowledge complemented by experience in industrial electrician work involving high voltage and low voltage systems.
- Customer service orientation with the ability to communicate technical information clearly in English.
- Experience working with industrial lifts like scissor lifts is preferred.
- Background in military or related fields is considered an asset due to discipline and technical training background.
