Equipment Shop Assistant

We have a full time position open for an Equipment Technician / Shop Assistant working from our US head office in Crown Point, IN.

The following are the duties and responsibilities:

• Strong focus on cleaning and recondition vacuum lifter equipment rental fleet
• Pack and ship parts and equipment orders, including verifying items with shipping checklists and preparing shipping labels
• Loading / unloading delivery vehicles
• Operating handling equipment according to industrial safety regulations
• Performing general shop related work as necessary
• Assist Technicians as needed with various tasks
• Shop/office upkeep includes sweeping, trash collection, company fleet cleanliness, etc…
• Perform additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned to support shop and operational needs

• Ability to clean and scrub construction equipment
• Maintenance experience desired
• Ability to maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations

• Ability to work independently and manage tasks with minimal supervision
• Positive attitude and willingness to contribute to a team environment

Physical Requirements

• Ability to perform manual labor in a physically demanding environment
• Stand and remain on your feet for most or all of the work shift
• Regularly lift, carry, and move items weighing up to 50 pounds
• Perform repetitive physical tasks such as bending, reaching, and moving materials
