What are the responsibilities and job description for the Shipping Specialist position at AUTOCAM MEDICAL DEVICES, LLC?
Reporting to the Shipping & Receiving Manager, the Shipping Specialist will perform duties related to the shipment of products to suppliers and customers. This position will assist in on-time delivery of product, as well as delivery of product to outsourced suppliers and vendors. Additionally, the Shipping Specialist will interact and communicate with all levels of the supply chain, including vendors, suppliers, internal management, engineers, and technicians.
Responsibilities
· Prepare shipments by (1) reviewing job travelers and inspection paperwork for completeness and accuracy, (2) obtaining supporting documentation from database and review against ERP system, and preparing box for shipment
· Process shipment in ERP system by inputting data from the job traveler
· Process miscellaneous shipments
· Write purchase orders for outside supplier operations and process receipts upon return
· Issues sub-components to manufacturing
· Follows established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental, and control standards.
· Participate in continuous improvement activities as appropriate
· Performs other duties as assigned.
