Traveling Commercial Construction Superintendent

AutoBuilders General Contracting Services, Inc. is looking for a motivated Commercial Construction Superintendent to join our team! With nearly four decades of experience, AutoBuilders specializes in commercial construction across the automotive, aviation, and transportation sectors, with projects nationwide.

Location: Nationwide Travel Required | Headquarters in West Palm Beach, FL, with offices in Texas and New Jersey.

We are looking for a dependable, hardworking individual with commercial construction superintendent experience, who is willing to travel nationwide. This role manages field operations, coordinates subcontractors and suppliers, and ensures that work is completed safely, on schedule, and in accordance with project plans and specifications. The Superintendent monitors site progress, conducts regular inspections, coordinates subcontractors, and addresses field issues, while reporting directly to the Project Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily jobsite activities, including construction coordination, quality control, safety, and adherence to project plans and specifications.
• Have a working knowledge of project plans, specifications, Subcontracts, Purchase Orders, RFI’s, drawings, submittals.
• Ability to travel nationwide to an assigned project and remain onsite for extended periods of time.
• Prepare and maintain all required documentation, company procedures and compliance documents.
• Conduct weekly subcontractor coordination meetings and jobsite safety orientation.
• Ability to inspect the jobsite to identify OSHA violations, safety concerns, and unsafe practices.
• Create and maintain the project Three Week Look Ahead Schedule, communicating regularly with the Project Manager, subcontractors, and vendors on the schedule.
• Able to organize multiple activities and make decisions under tight deadlines.

Qualifications & Skills:

• 5 years of experience as a superintendent on commercial construction projects.
• Familiarity with construction building plans, drawings and specs.
• Experience with construction related software (Procore, Microsoft Office) preferred.
• Knowledge of commercial construction practices and industry standards.
• Ability to act in a manner of integrity that reflects the company, its values, and employees.
• Maintain a current and valid drivers license.
