Accounts Receivable Specialist
Auto-Wares is a group of companies in the automotive parts aftermarket business. We are a distribution company headquartered in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Auto-Wares has been providing the complete parts needs for service dealers and the motoring public since 1976.
Our A/R Collections team is seeking a hardworking individual to join our team. We are taking applications for a Full-Time Accounts Receivable Specialist. This is an on-site position at our corporate offices in Grand Rapids, MI.
Responsibilities including but not limited to:
- Answer phones in the call queue.
- Work and contact accounts on hot list (past due accounts).
- Follow up on payment promises and commitments.
- Promptly answer help desk tickets assigned to you.
- Communicate with stores pay-type or credit limit changes.
- Identify specific problem accounts - research issues.
- Take payments (CC and check) payments over the phone.
- Research and rectify pay issues.
- Gather info for stores to process in small claims court.
- Supply stores with pertinent paperwork (invoice copies, statements, etc.)
- Process account adjustments and write offs.
- Track and provide back-up for all bad debt expenses and adjustments.
- Provide info for customers (invoice copies, statements, etc.)
- Additional tasks assigned.

Qualifications
- 1-2 years credit/collections experience
- Dependable and punctual
