Responsibilities
- Lead the auto parts department by managing inventory levels, stock ordering, and control to meet customer demand efficiently.
- Oversee sales activities, develop strategies to increase revenue, and ensure achievement of sales targets through effective merchandising and marketing initiatives.
- Provide expert guidance on automotive diagnostics, vehicle maintenance, and repair procedures to customers and team members.
- Manage daily operations including POS (Point of Sale) transactions, cash handling, cashiering duties, and maintaining accurate retail math calculations.
- Supervise inventory management systems such as CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to track parts availability and streamline order fulfillment processes.
- Train and motivate staff on customer service excellence, phone etiquette, organizational skills, and product knowledge related to automotive repair and service.
- Maintain a clean, organized store environment by overseeing stocking, merchandising, inventory control, and maintenance tasks.
- Utilize Microsoft Excel for reporting sales data, inventory analysis, and performance metrics to inform business decisions.
- Foster strong relationships with customers through effective communication skills and bilingual support when needed.
- Collaborate with dealership teams on parts procurement, marketing strategies, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.
Experience
- Proven experience in retail sales management within an automotive parts or dealership environment.
- Strong background in automotive diagnostics, vehicle maintenance, automotive repair, and automotive service operations.
- Demonstrated ability in negotiation, sales management, inventory control, and order fulfillment processes.
- Familiarity with POS systems, CMMS software, Microsoft Excel, retail math principles, and stock management techniques.
- Excellent communication skills complemented by bilingual or multilingual capabilities preferred to serve diverse customer bases.
- Prior experience handling cashiering duties including cash handling and phone etiquette is highly desirable.
