In this role, the Carrier Transport Coordinator will be responsible for handling trucked transport requests for Auto Driveaway customers. This team member must be organized, passionate about delivering an outstanding customer experience and able to multitask to coordinate shipments for one of the largest professional driveaway companies in the United States.
Auto Driveaway is a leading national provider of professional vehicle relocation services. Auto Driveaway primarily serves large corporate fleets, fleet management companies, upfitters, dealerships and vehicle OEMs with fast, safe and reliable door-to-door driveaway and trucked transportation service nationwide. Services include fleet shipping and fleet management services; single vehicle “door-to-door driveaway” shipping; expedited shipping; enclosed carrier shipping for high-value vehicles; international (overseas) shipping; short-term and long-term vehicle storage; licensing, titling and registration of vehicles; and vehicle maintenance and reconditioning services.
This role follows a hybrid schedule: in-office Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, with remote work on Tuesday and Thursday.
Role and Responsibilities
- Handle trucked transport requests from the quote stage through carrier payment
- Utilize operational best practices for completing trucked transportation orders, emphasizing efficiency, profitability and customer experience
- Collaborate closely with Account Management, Sales and Operations personnel to maximize customer satisfaction and service delivery
- Build and maintain a managed supply chain of auto transport carriers able to accommodate Auto Driveaway’s needs at appropriate price points with the highest safety standards, exceptional communication and customer experience
- Manage carrier performance to established timelines and quoted pricing
- Maintain regular engagement with internal stakeholders to ensure Auto Driveaway is meeting needs and expectations
- Grow Auto Driveaway’s reputation as the driveaway company of choice across the United States
Qualifications and Education Requirements
- Strong background in transportation, logistics or related fields required
- Direct experience in auto transportation and carrier management preferred
- Knowledge of transportation regulations and compliance requirements preferred
- Exceptional organizational and communication skills
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Solid financial acumen and understanding of profit and loss
- High energy, enthusiasm and drive for achieving results
- Passionate about safety and customer experience
- Proficiency with email and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel
- Ability to multi task and work in a fast-paced environment, recognizing a sense of urgency and self-motivation
