Job Overview:
At Fusion, we are looking for an experienced Carrier Sales Representative to join our growing team located at our Westchester, IL Office. Our ideal candidate would have a strong understanding of freight brokerage and operations, knowledge in vetting and booking carriers. This position is in-person, Monday to Friday.
Responsibilities:
- Perform freight services according to company and government regulations.
- Create, coordinate, and manage pick-up and delivery schedules, coordinating with shippers, carriers, dispatchers, and customers.
- Monitor all routes and schedule backhauls with same trucks to utilize max. cost of the daily route.
- Track and report shipment status of loads.
- Properly vet carriers to securely broker freight.
- Coordinate logistics for projects coming from multiple customer sites and vendors.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with multiple carriers.
- Maintain accurate records of all activity, ensuring freight paperwork is complete and approved prior to transportation.
- Resolve freight discrepancies and keep relevant parties apprised.
- Respond to customer concerns and queries in a timely, professional manner.
Must-have Qualifications:
- Minimum of 1 years of experience in a freight and transportation logistics and operations-oriented position (brokerage, dispatch, etc.) assigning loads and booking trucks on load boards
- Experience with using Mercury Gate, DAT, Carrier411 or any other TMS system
- High school diploma or equivalent (Required)
