Duties
- Greet customers warmly and listen attentively to understand their vehicle concerns and service needs
- Explain automotive repair procedures and estimates clearly, ensuring customers are fully informed about recommended services
- Coordinate with technicians to prioritize repairs and ensure timely completion of work
- Upsell additional services such as oil changes, tire rotations, brake repairs, alignments, suspension work, and transmission services to maximize customer satisfaction.
- Prepare detailed service write-ups and estimates using auto estimating software, accurately documenting all work requested or recommended
- Manage cash handling transactions efficiently while maintaining accurate records of payments received
- Follow up with customers post-service to ensure satisfaction and foster ongoing relationships
Skills
- Proven experience with a strong understanding of automotive service processes and customer relations
- Extensive knowledge of auto service including auto diagnostics, vehicle maintenance, and repair procedures
- A understanding of mechanic work such as oil changes, brake repairs, transmission servicing, wheel alignments, suspension work, tire services, shocks & struts replacement.
- Excellent mechanical knowledge combined with experience in automotive repair and service writing
- Strong sales skills with a focus on upselling additional services while maintaining integrity and transparency
- Proficiency in auto estimating tools and familiarity with the sales processes
- Exceptional customer service skills that build trust and encourage repeat business
