Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Auto Estimator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in automotive service and repair, with the ability to accurately assess vehicle damage and provide comprehensive estimates for repairs.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles to assess damage and determine repair costs.
- Prepare detailed and accurate repair estimates, including labor, parts, and additional services needed (using the CCC One software).
- Communicate with insurance adjusters to explain estimates and negotiate repairs. Appraiser must handle all communications with insurance adjusters throughout the entire repair process.
- Collaborate with service technicians to ensure accurate assessments and timely repairs.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing inquiries, concerns, and complaints in a professional manner.
- Stay updated on automotive technologies, trends, and best practices in auto estimating.
Qualifications
- Previous experience (5 years preferably) in auto estimating and negotiating with insurance companies.
- Strong knowledge of the CCC-One estimating software and experience using the program.
- Familiarity with auto body repair processes and techniques.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex repair information.
- Appraisal License (preferred but not required).
- I-CAR training or other industry training (preferred but not required).
- Sales experience is a plus
- Customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients.
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
