Position Summary:

The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) is responsible for providing direct, 1:1 ABA therapy services to clients under the supervision of a BCBA. The RBT plays a vital role in implementing treatment plans, collecting data, and helping clients acquire new skills and reduce maladaptive behaviors in home, school, clinic, and community settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement individualized behavior intervention plans created by a BCBA
  • Provide 1:1 direct therapy using Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques
  • Collect and record accurate data on client progress and behavior
  • Assist with assessments under the direction of a BCBA
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors, parents, and team members
  • Participate in team meetings and training sessions
  • Maintain confidentiality and follow HIPAA and ethical standards

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (required)
  • RBT certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB) (highly preferred but will train and assist in obtaining)
  • At least 6 months experience working with children, preferably in an ABA or special education setting (preferred)
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
  • Reliable transportation and punctuality

Working Conditions:

  • Must be able to work with children who may engage in challenging behaviors
  • May involve kneeling, stooping, and engaging in physical play with clients
  • Sessions may occur in a client’s home, school, or clinic setting

Compensation and Benefits:
