Role Description
This is a full-time hybrid role for an Eating Disorder Therapist, based in Deerfield, IL, with the option for some remote work. The therapist will provide individual and group therapy to clients with eating disorders and co-occurring conditions, focusing on healing and recovery. Responsibilities include conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, facilitating therapy sessions, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and maintaining accurate documentation of client progress. The therapist will also uphold our weight-inclusive and HAES-aligned philosophies in all aspects of care.
Qualifications
- Clinical expertise in providing therapy for eating disorders and related mental health conditions.
- Experience with evidence-based therapy modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
- Strong communication, active listening, and client-centered care skills.
- Ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including dietitians and other healthcare professionals.
- Commitment to weight-inclusive practices and principles aligned with Health at Every Size (HAES).
- Licensed to practice independently as an LCSW, LCPC, LMFT, or equivalent in the state of Illinois. Provisionally Licensed clinicians are also encoursged to apply (LPC, LSW)
- Master’s degree in Counseling, Clinical Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
- Experience working with diverse populations and sensitivity to cultural competence.
- Familiarity with teletherapy platforms is a plus.
