Authentic Transport Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic, responsible intern to train to become a Client Manager. This is a one-of-a-kind opportunity to join our New York-based fine art services company which installs, packs, and transports artwork throughout country. In this position, you will work out of a Syosset, NY warehouse office and learn the ins-and-outs of fine art services as well as general office and client management.
Intern Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform clerical duties, help organize emails, maintain and organize files
- Assist with logistics
- Create bills of lading (BOLs)
- Communicate with art technicians
- Track employees’ routes and hours
- Keep clients informed
- Maintain organization in our Jobs Boards
- Onboard new workers
- Manage databases and input information and records
- Learn our art archiving system
- Train in a variety of tasks including client management
Requirements and Qualifications
- High school degree or equivalent; must be enrolled in an accredited university/college program to receive credit
- Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel), Google sheets, familiarity with MAC a plus
- Must be at least 20 years of age
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Self-directed and able to work without supervision
- Energetic and eager to tackle new projects and ideas
- Able to work 40 hours per week
- Office experience a plus
COMPENSATION
- We offer:
- Paid 3 month training; salary increase after completed training
- 9am to 6pm workday, some flexibility
- Year-round work
- Weekends off
