Controls Engineer - Industrial Automation
Location: Wilmington, MA, with on-site responsibilities
Must Have:
- Must have a stable work history or I will reject the candidate per W-M
- A Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical/Control Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or Computer Science is required.
- 5 years with capabilities in:
- PLC hardware/software (Rockwell Automation).
- HMI/SCADA platforms (Rockwell Automation, Inductive Automation Ignition).
- DCS platform, specifically recent Emerson DeltaV experience/knowledge
- Instrumentation experience is a must
- Experience with standard programming languages: VBA, .NET, SQL (for HMI/SCADA).
- Conceptualize, detail, and implement control systems for industrial processes and machinery.
- Develop control system architecture and select components.
- Create schematic diagrams and system documentation.
- Program controllers (PLC, DCS, RTU).
- Ability to travel up to 25%.
Nice to Have:
- Experience with industrial networking (fiber, wired, wireless) and industrial protocols (Ethernet/IP, Profibus, Modbus).
- Familiarity with electrical schematics, power distribution under 480VAC, control panels, NEC standards.
- Proficiency in automation protocols: HART, Foundation Fieldbus, Traditional I/O, Profibus, Ethernet I/P, OPC, Modbus TCP/IP.
- Leadership and client relation skills.
- Familiar with S88 Batch.
- Familiar with life science regulatory requirements (cGMP, 21 CFR Part 11).
- Familiar with GAMP5, System/Software Development Life Cycle, validation.
- Familiar with databases (SQL).
