This role involves PLC/DCS/HMI programming, database development, instrumentation integration, control panel design, documentation, and full lifecycle support—from conceptual engineering to on-site commissioning.The ideal candidate is a hands-on engineer with broad technical expertise, capable of contributing independently or as part of a collaborative team, and may act as a technical lead or Project Manager on smaller assignments. Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop complete control system architectures for industrial equipment and processes. Design, detail, and implement control solutions including: PLC, DCS, RTU programming HMI/SCADA development Control panel design & instrumentation specification Database development for system data archiving and reporting Create electrical schematic diagrams, system documentation, and engineering deliverables. Program using industry-standard languages: Ladder Logic, Sequential Function Chart, Structured Text, etc. Implement HMI/SCADA solutions using VBA, .NET, SQL as needed. Integrate complex industrial networking systems (Ethernet/IP, Modbus, Profibus, etc.) across fiber, wired, and wireless platforms. Support factory acceptance testing (FAT), site commissioning, troubleshooting, and startup activities. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and guide junior engineers and technicians. Maintain compliance with industry standards including NEC, cGMP, 21 CFR Part 11, GAMP5, and other life sciences regulations. Required QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Electrical/Controls Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline. 5 years of professional experience in controls engineering with the following capabilities: Strong proficiency in PLC platforms (Rockwell Automation preferred). Expertise in HMI/SCADA tools such as Rockwell Automation or Inductive Automation Ignition. Experience with DCS systems (Emerson DeltaV preferred). Knowledge of field instrumentation used in process control. Ability to read and design electrical schematics, including power distribution under 480VAC and control panels. Skilled in industrial communication protocols: HART, Foundation Fieldbus, Profibus, Modbus TCP/IP, Ethernet/IP, OPC. Familiarity with S88 batch control architecture. Understanding of software development lifecycle, validation, and regulatory compliance for life sciences. Hands-on experience with SQL databases. Strong client interaction and leadership capabilities. Ability to travel up to 25%. Must be able to meet physical requirements: climbing, lifting, equipment access, etc. Working ConditionsStandard office and industrial plant environments. Frequent use of computers, phones, and office equipment. Occasional exposure to diverse industrial conditions during onsite visits.
Salary : $91,300 - $118,100
