This is a full-time on-site role for an Elevator Mechanic based in Pelham, NY. The Elevator Mechanic will be responsible for performing maintenance, repairs, and modernization of elevator systems. Daily tasks include troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, ensuring code compliance, and executing preventative maintenance to ensure the safe and efficient operation of elevator equipment.
- Proven experience in Elevator Maintenance and general elevator operations
- Strong troubleshooting skills for identifying and resolving mechanical and operational issues
- Solid understanding of Electricity and Maintenance & Repair methodologies
- Ability to work with a team and deliver customer-focused results
- Knowledge of local building codes and safety regulations
- Physical ability to perform tasks such as lifting, climbing, and working in confined spaces
- Relevant certifications or licenses, such as QEI certification, are a plus
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required; technical training in a related field is a strong advantage
