What are the responsibilities and job description for the CSP-Community Support Professional position at Autauga/Western Elmore Arc?
REQUIREMENTS:
H.S. Diploma/GED equivalency with demonstrated expertise in working with individuals with intellectual disabilities and developmental disabilities in an equivalent combination of experience and training is acceptable. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and organizational competence required. Must be able to be First Aid/CPR, CPI, and MAC certified and must maintain these certifications. Must be able to able to lift at least 35lbs and must be able to exert up to 35lbs of force.
Hours: Monday-Friday, 7am-3pm
JOB DUTIES:
· Encourages community participation and facilitates cultivation of friendship
· Provides guidance and direction on social and judgement issues, health and safety issues in addition to other issues pertaining to activities of daily living and community integration.
· Maintains documentation which includes a full description of services rendered. This summary should reflect progress, outcomes, dates that services were provided, barriers with implementation, achievements, projected planning goals, and concerns.
· Attends staff training and meetings as scheduled and performs other duties as assigned.
· Function as MAC Worker in accordance with the Nurse Delegation Program
· Conduct persons served training as specified in Person Centered Plans.
· Collect/record data on PCP objectives.
· Participate in PCP team meetings.
· Complete baseline data sheets, individual persons served schedules and other paperwork related to planning objectives.
· Maintain supplies/equipment needed for individualized training.
· Assist individuals in physical management exercises.

· CSP will possess the ability to easily diffuse conflicted situations as they arise, utilizing excellent interpersonal and conflict resolution skills.
Pay: From $13.00 per hour
