YOUR SCHEDULE
This part-time coaching position starts on April 10th or sooner if you're available. Your schedule is based on swim meet dates which are TBD.
YOUR DAY
You're the Assistant Swimming Coach for the Dolphins Swim Team, helping children stay safe in the pool and improve their skills. Coaching during programs like swim clinics or lessons, you encourage children to learn more and instill a healthy sense of competition while following all standards and policies. You instruct children on the proper swimming techniques and strokes and praise their efforts.
By enforcing pool rules, supervising swimmers, and observing members and guests, you keep everyone safe. You inform families about swim events, set up and break down events, and tackle other responsibilities to help our young swimmers learn and grow!
REQUIREMENTS
- 2 years of experience and training as a lifeguard, swim instructor, or competitive swimmer
- Red Cross lifeguard training program certification
- CPR/AED certification or ability to obtain one
- Ability to think clearly and make quick decisions
- Ability to work with co-workers and management
- Ability to walk, run, swim, and move moderate to heavy weight
- Scheduling flexibility, including willingness to work some weekends and holidays

6 and Under: 4:30pm-5:00pm
7/8 Year Olds: 5:00pm-5:45pm
9/10 Year Olds : 5:45pm-6:30pm
11 Year Olds and Up: 6:30pm-7:15pm
Morning Practice Times (May 27th-June 11th)
6 and Under: 8:00am-8:30pm
7/8 Year Olds: 8:30am-9:15am
9/10 Year Olds and 11 and Up: 9:15am-10:00am
Pre-Season Dolphins Swim Team Clinics
Pre-season swim clinics are designed to prepare kids for the upcoming summer season. The Dolphins 1 sessions are for our youngest age group and focus on building endurance to be able to cross the entire length of the pool unassisted. Dolphins 2 is for kids who are new to swim team or still working on learning all four strokes. Dolphins 3 swimmers should already be comfortable with all four strokes and have had prior swim team experience.
