Men’s Grill Busser/Server Assistant

THE BASICS

Pay: $16/hour plus a tip pool

Schedule: Flexible schedule that can include weekdays, weekends, and holidays. Shifts range from 4 to 8 hours, and split shifts (doubles) may be occasionally scheduled depending on business needs.

YOUR DAY AS A SERVER ASSISTANT

As a Server Assistant at Austin Country Club, you play an essential role in ensuring that orders flow in an efficient manner from our servers to the kitchen. You relay information between the kitchen and waitstaff, ensuring orders are prepared with the correct priority. Using exceptional problem-solving skills, you eliminate any obstacles that may affect service, food preparation lines, or dishwashing stations. You also report guest comments, complaints, and any employee or guest accidents to management in a timely manner.

Attending scheduled meetings and training sessions is essential for continuously improving your knowledge of the food and beverage industry. Fostering a harmonious working climate is important to us, and you thrive in our strong team environment. Your contribution to maintaining the smooth operations of our country club is crucial, and you find fulfillment in working in a fast-paced setting!

Founded in 1899, Austin Country Club is one of the oldest existing clubs in Texas and home to Harvey Penick, one of the greatest golf instructors who ever lived. As a private, family-oriented club that is rich in tradition, we are known for the quality of our membership and unmatched customer service that exceeds expectations. Spanning over 180 acres of hill country vistas and canyon views in Davenport Ranch, our property is just 10 miles west of downtown Austin.

REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Basic knowledge about the beverage and food service or hospitality industry
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time, move, and lift up to 50 pounds
• Excellent customer service skills

Preferred:

• At least one year of experience working in a restaurant (club experience is a plus)
