Position Overview:

AuST Group is seeking a Inventory Controller to join our team. The Inventory Controller is responsible for overseeing the management of inventory, ensuring that stock levels are maintained efficiently and in compliance with all regulatory and quality standards. The role involves tracking and monitoring stock levels, inventory movements, coordinating with purchasing, warehouse, production planning, and ensuring that inventory records are accurate and production lines continue moving.

Key Responsibilities:

Inventory Management:

  • Maintain precise inventory records across ERP, MRP, and WMS systems for assigned product line
  • Ensure real-world tracking matches digital records without error
  • Track inventory levels in real-time to prevent stockouts
  • Conduct regular physical inventory audits to ensure system accuracy.
  • Report discrepancies and investigate causes for variances.
  • Responsible for full traceability and variances against production orders for assigned product line

Compliance & Regulatory Requirements:

  • Ensure inventory practices comply with industry standards, regulations, and internal policies (e.g., FDA, ISO, CE).
  • Maintain documentation related to inventory, including lot numbers, batch numbers, expiration dates, and product serial numbers.
  • Ensure medical devices are stored in accordance with specific storage conditions required by regulations.

Quality Control:

  • Ensure expired, damaged, or obsolete inventory is properly segregated and disposed of in compliance with regulations.

Data Management & Reporting:

  • Utilize inventory management software to update records, track orders, and monitor stock levels.
  • Generate and provide regular reports on inventory status, stock movements, and trends.
  • Analyze inventory data and provide recommendations to improve processes, reduce costs, and optimize stock levels.
  • Report out variances in manufacturing, providing feedback to cross-functional teams and management.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

  • Coordinate with Quality, Engineering, Procurement, Production Planning, and Production departments to align inventory needs and resolve issues.
  • Work with the finance team to track and reconcile inventory-related costs.
  • Assist in the preparation for internal and external audits.
  • Work with manufacturing to perform cycle counts of kits, raw materials, and sub-assemblies issued to production.
  • Performs inter company transfers between internal entities.
  • Helps manage and oversee the revision change process
  • Helps coordinate quality documents, ensuring products are able to ship.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Additional certifications in inventory management or logistics are a plus (e.g., APICS, Six Sigma).

Experience:

  • Proven experience (2-3 years) in inventory control or supply chain management, preferably within the medical device industry or healthcare sector.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements governing the storage and handling of medical devices.
  • Experience with inventory management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
  • Knowledge of manufacturing, and movement of materials in production cycles.

Skills:

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong analytical, data processing, statistics and cognitive decision making.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Knowledge of regulatory standards (e.g., FDA, ISO 13485) is preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and work in a warehouse setting as needed
  • Must be able to stand, walk, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
