Overview
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Logistics Coordinator to join our team. This role will be the backbone of our supply chain and shipping operations. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess a constant sense of urgency, and excel at problem-solving, we want you on our team!
Key Responsibilities:
Transportation & Fleet Management
- Plan, track, and assign loads departing distribution centers, connecting at remote lots or ocean yard locations to meet scheduled delivery dates.
- Source, vet, and negotiate with carriers and service providers to haul shipments based on requirements and secure proper payouts.
- Determine and optimize fleet capacity, capabilities, and utilization to maximize asset productivity.
- Make special shipping arrangements as necessary, deciding the best course of action on a shipment-by-shipment basis to maintain service standards and profitability.
Inventory & Supply Chain Operations
- Organize and manage inventory, storage, transportation, and 3PL inventory management.
- Develop processes to organize the supply chain, identify network problems, and create corrective action plans to achieve desired results.
- Track loads and shipment activities while identifying opportunities for improved network design.
Cross-Functional Coordination & Customer Service
- Coordinate communication and activity with Customer Service, Shipping, and other departments to optimize scheduling and delivery performance.
- Correspond with customers, report client requests, and ensure all requirements are understood by team members prior to shipments being arranged.
- Track and correct shipment errors promptly.
Documentation & Compliance
- Review shipment materials, purchase orders, and shipping documents prior to distribution to ensure absolute accuracy.
- Maintain accurate records and monitor shipment costs and productivity processes.
- Apply knowledge of commercial invoices, NVOCC, and general laws, regulations, and ISO requirements.
Qualifications & Skills:
Requirements:
- Language: Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish is strictly required.
- Technical Skills: Working knowledge of logistics software (ERP) and competence with the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Industry Knowledge: Familiarity with commercial invoices, NVOCC, 3PL inventory management, and shipping regulations.

Pay: $19.00 - $24.00 per hour
