Aurora Settlement Services, Inc. is a growing boutique title insurance and escrow agency serving residential and commercial clients throughout multiple states. We are seeking an experienced Post-Closing & Recording Specialist to join our Columbia, Tennessee office.
The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and thrives in a fast-paced environment where accuracy and exceptional customer service are paramount.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all post-closing activities from closing, funding through final policy issuance.
- Review closed files for completeness and compliance.
- Submit documents for recording electronically and by mail in multiple jurisdictions.
- Monitor recordings and promptly resolve recording rejections.
- Track outstanding recordings, releases, payoff letters, and other post-closing requirements.
- Coordinate with lenders, attorneys, county recording offices, clients, and internal staff to resolve post-closing issues.
- Ensure all files meet underwriter, lender, state, and federal compliance requirements.
- Maintain accurate post-closing records and document retention.
- Assist with title policy remittances and quality control as needed.
- Meet production deadlines while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in title insurance post-closing, recording, or title policy production required.
- Thorough understanding of title insurance policies, recording procedures, escrow files, and lender requirements.
- Experience working with electronic recording (eRecording) platforms.
- Knowledge of multi-state recording practices is a plus.
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to prioritize multiple files while maintaining accuracy.
- Proficiency with title production software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
