Role Description The Scheduling Coordinator is a part-time, on-site role located in East Aurora, NY. This position is responsible for managing daily appointment schedules, confirming and rescheduling patient visits, and coordinating provider calendars to ensure efficient patient flow. The role includes answering incoming calls, responding to patient inquiries, sending insurance claims and providing clear information about appointments and office procedures. The Scheduling Coordinator will perform administrative tasks such as updating patient records, verifying basic information, and supporting the front desk team as needed. This role requires consistent, professional communication with patients and colleagues while maintaining a welcoming, organized reception environment.
Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive, professional relationships with patients and team members.
- Excellent phone etiquette and comfortable handling a high volume of calls in a courteous and efficient manner.
- Experience with appointment scheduling and managing calendars, preferably in a healthcare or dental office setting.
- Clear, professional communication skills, including active listening and accurate message taking.
- Administrative assistance abilities, such as data entry, maintaining patient records, and organizing front desk tasks.
- Attention to detail, reliability, and strong time management skills.
