Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Chaplain to serve as a spiritual leader and support resource within our healthcare system. The Chaplain will provide spiritual care, counseling, and crisis intervention to patients, families, and staff, fostering an environment of holistic healing. This paid position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of individuals navigating mental health challenges.
Duties
Graduate of accredited seminary or school of theology (BD, M.Div. or equivalent theological degree) preferred, licensed ordained minister or equivalent experience, Board Certification by an accredited Professional Chaplain Association preferred, four units of Clinical Pastoral Education preferred.
Minimum Work Experience
Must have expertise in the understanding of how to provide spiritual support in the context of serious mental illness. Must have working knowledge of the general practices of diverse faith traditions and be respectful of diverse belief systems. Must be able to facilitate spiritual care in a multicultural and multi faith context.
Licenses And Other Requirements
Licensed ordained minister or equivalent experience. Must have current CPR and TO certifications, within 30 days of hire. Must be 21 years of age, have a current negative TB test or medical clearance and meet qualifications for fingerprint clearance.

- Provide bereavement support to patients and families experiencing loss or grief.
- Lead religious services, prayer sessions, and spiritual activities that promote comfort and community engagement.
- Facilitate crisis intervention efforts, assisting individuals during emotional or spiritual crises with sensitivity and professionalism.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to integrate spiritual care into overall treatment plans.
- Conduct educational presentations on topics related to faith, spirituality, and coping strategies for staff and community groups.
- Mentor staff members in conflict management, crisis management, and compassionate communication techniques.
- Plan and coordinate special events or programs that enhance spiritual well-being within the healthcare setting.
