Role Overview

You are the industry expert within a Forward Deployed Engineering (FDE) team. The role is co-builder of agentic solutions in the Project Management and Controls space. You own the domain side of delivery: knowing what correct output looks like, specifying workflows precisely enough for the Agent Designer to build from, and contributing to discussions at the intersection of capital project delivery and AI. You earn credibility with the customer through deep knowledge of how programs are built.

Key Responsibilities

Domain Translation & Delivery

• Analyze agency project management and controls environments to identify where agents can deliver immediate value
• Translate project management and controls workflows into agent requirements
• Ensure Agent Designers configure solutions to deliver relevant and meaningful outcomes
• Monitor deployed agent performance against planning outcomes; identify where agents are producing reliable output and where tuning is needed

Customer Relationship & Expansion

• Own working-level relationships with customers' project managers, controls staff, construction managers, and program teams at your assigned accounts
• Train customer project management and controls staff on AI-augmented workflows
• Identify new agent use cases at active accounts in construction management, scheduling, cost management, change management, procurement, and related processes

Candidate Profile

Required

• 10 years working in project management, project controls, or PCM/PMIS implementation at a public infrastructure owner or in a consulting capacity embedded with one
• Deep working knowledge of project controls: schedule management, cost management, change management, submittals and RFI workflows, procurement, and program reporting
• Familiarity with how project controls data flows across the program lifecycle: from pre-construction through construction closeout, and from project-level cost and schedule data into program-level reporting and forecasting
• Experience with PCM/PMIS platforms in a production environment: Aurigo Masterworks, e-Builder, InEight, Oracle Primavera, Procore, or comparable
• Strong written communication
• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred

Preferred

• Prior experience inside a DOT, transit agency, water utility, municipality, or other public infrastructure owner as a staff member or long-term embedded consultant
• Experience with federal grant compliance and reporting: FHWA, FTA, EPA, HUD, or comparable programs
• Experience with pre-construction workflows including estimation, bidding, and right-of-way acquisition
• Familiarity with AI tools, scenario modeling, or data analytics applied to project controls or program management
• Experience with data evaluation and validation across the project controls and program delivery lifecycle
• Public Trust clearance eligibility
