This role focuses on delivering an exceptional customer experience while driving sales, maintaining accurate inventory levels, and ensuring the department is well-stocked, organized and visually appealing. The Wellness Lead serves as a trusted resource for customers seeking natural health products, vitamins, supplements, and wellness solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with vendor partners to maintain optimal stock levels and minimize inventory shrink
- Keep up to date with wellness trends and ensure that Totum Market has a timely and relevant product set.
- Maintain department conditions, including cleanliness, organization, signage, and product presentation
- Support labor planning, scheduling, and real‑time labor adjustments
- Ensure compliance with OSHA policies, DSHEA regulations, and company policies.
- Resolve operational issues quickly to maintain service levels
- Assist with training, onboarding, and ongoing development of department team members.
- Analyze daily and weekly reports to identify opportunities and implement corrective actions
- Serve as Manager‑on‑Duty (MOD) as needed
Qualifications
- 5 years of relevant industry experience
- Strong understanding of store operations, merchandising, inventory management, and labor planning
- Proven ability to lead teams, coach performance, and build a positive culture
- Strong problem‑solving skills with the ability to make quick, effective decisions
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Knowledge of DSHEA compliance standards preferred
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time; bend, and lift up to 40 lbs
- Comfortable working in varying temperature environments (coolers, freezers, kitchens)
