Occupational Therapist

Role Overview: Provides clinical occupational therapy by administering appropriate treatments, progressing patient care, and maintaining detailed treatment records.

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate patients to develop personalized treatment plans.
• Administer therapy sessions aligned with diagnosis and patient goals.
• Document progress, re-evaluations, discharge summaries, and patient education.
• Educate patients, families, and students on therapy techniques and home programs.
• Design adaptive devices and suggest equipment modifications based on patient needs.
• Maintain equipment, resource materials, and ensure departmental compliance.
• Participate in continuing education, departmental meetings, and quality improvement activities.
• Support supervision and delegation to support personnel, ensuring operational efficiency.
  
  

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
• Valid state licensure in occupational therapy.
• 0-6 months related experience.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and reasoning skills.
• Proficiency in using computers for documentation and reporting.
• Ability to interpret professional and regulatory information and adapt accordingly.
  
  

Additional Duties: Attend in-services, meet licensing requirements, and adhere to safety and operational guidelines. Works closely with patients, families, healthcare professionals, and support staff to ensure quality care and departmental efficiency.
