Auntie Abby’s Pet Care is growing, and we’re looking for dependable, compassionate pet care providers to join our team in Ankeny, Des Moines, West Des Moines and Urbandale, IA!
This is a fun, part-time job for animal lovers who want to earn supplemental income in an active, non-office environment. It’s a great fit for someone who enjoys flexibility, staying active, working independently, and spending time with pets while providing reliable, professional care. There is also opportunity to grow within the company over time.

Schedule & Availability
We are specifically looking for team members who have:
- Monday–Friday availability between 9:00 AM and 2:00 PM (for dog walking)
- Some weekend availability (for pet sitting visits)
- Some morning and/or evening availability (for pet sitting visits)
What You’ll Do
- Walk dogs safely and confidently in all weather conditions
- Provide in-home pet sitting visits for dogs, cats, and other small animals
- Interact professionally and warmly with clients
- Write upbeat, detailed visit reports after each visit
- Follow schedules and instructions carefully
- Represent our company with professionalism and care
We’re Looking for Someone Who Is:
- Comfortable handling all sizes and breeds of dogs, as well as cats and a variety of small animals
- Reliable, punctual, and responsible
- Organized with strong time management skills
- A strong communicator (both verbal and written)
- Positive, friendly, and able to go with the flow
- Passionate about animals and providing excellent care
