Network and Systems Infrastructure Engineer

As part of one of Northeast Ohio’s most respected healthcare systems, you’ll help power the technology infrastructure that supports patient care across hospitals, clinics, and AultCare Health Plan.
We are seeking a Network and Systems Infrastructure Engineer who will play a key role in designing, maintaining, and advancing Aultman’s enterprise network and systems environment. Reporting to the Executive Director of Information Technology, this individual will provide both strategic insight and hands-on expertise to ensure reliable, secure, and high-performing infrastructure across the organization.
What You’ll Do
- Design, implement, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure including switches, routers, wireless access points, firewalls, and VPNs.
- Support and optimize systems environments (servers, storage, virtualization, and backups) across on-premise and hybrid settings.
- Strategize and plan with IT leadership on network modernization, redundancy, and cloud readiness initiatives.
- Ensure secure connectivity, network segmentation, and compliance with HIPAA and internal cybersecurity standards.
- Monitor and proactively address performance, capacity, and reliability of core infrastructure.
- Collaborate with clinical, operational, and business teams to ensure technology supports mission-critical care delivery.
- Document configurations, develop best-practice standards, and assist in disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5 years of experience managing enterprise-level networks and systems.
- Expertise with Cisco, Palo Alto, VMware, or similar platforms.
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills in complex, multi-site environments.
- Working knowledge of network monitoring, performance optimization, and automation tools.
- Familiarity with healthcare or other regulated industries preferred.
- Certifications such as CCNP, VCP, MCSE, or CompTIA Security a plus.
