AIDE - AOH RADIOLOGY

Duties and Responsibilities: _______________________________________________

1. Will be responsible for facilitating and coordinating rooms on their assigned teams.
2. Faxing reports and releasing images to outside facilities
3. Call and confirm patient appointments and give instructions
4. Help screen MRI patients
5. Cover desk for lunch and vacations
6. Give oral contrast to CT patients
7. Assist in room clean up, room turnover, etc.
8. Assist in positioning of patients when applicable. 
9. Transport patients from floor and ED along with transferring patients onto exam table
10. Prioritize the needs of assigned rooms to best utilize your availability.
    1. Be available for emergencies that arise in assigned rooms.
11. Organize and put away equipment and stock to specific areas.
12. Serve as resource person, problem solver, and facilitator for assigned rooms.
13. Prior to leaving for the day, will ensure that all supplies and laundry are ready and available for remaining exams.
14. Maintain CPR certification.

Working Conditions:_____________________________________________________

1. Has variable shift rotation that includes but is not limited to 7:00am-3:30pm, 9:00am-5:30pm.
2. Extensive walking or standing for long periods of time is required.
3. Breaks and lunch are coordinated with other personnel and workload.
4. Blood and body fluid exposure = 1
5. Frequent changes in duties throughout working hours.
6. Cross training in all areas is required, as diverse duties may be assigned.
7. Heavy lifting, pulling, and pushing are required.
8. Involved with personnel, patients, and physicians under all circumstances and conditions. 

Qualifications:___________________________________________________________

1. High school graduate, minimum 18 years old. 
2. Display an attitude of interest and respect for people.
3. Understand and adhere to policy and regulations.
4. Flexible schedule required.
5. Successfully completes Aultman Hospital Orientation /Facilitating orientation program.
6. Demonstrate mission and values of Aultman Hospital.
7. Good physical and mental health:
   1. Must be able to lift 40 pounds every 5 minutes X 6 times.
   2. Must be able to push/pull a cart weighing 150 pounds.
   3. Must be able to walk at least 3 miles in an 8-hour time period.
