We seek an experienced, self-starting Systems Administrator to serve as a part of the Company’s team which supports our government customer at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Transition various on-prem Unix/Linux/Solaris-based services to Oracle Cloud/PeopleSoft.
- Implement and administer Oracle Cloud/PeopleSoft/SEAM architectures.
- Utilize Open Worldwide Application Security Project (OWASP) Security tools to harden cloud services and provide reports in support of DoD Cybersecurity efforts.
- Write and edit scripts to automate tasks using Bash, Python, or other scripting languages.
- Collaborate with support teams to ensure that proposed and delivered architectures meet requirements.
- Support and advise customer on initiatives including technical assessment, migration, modernization, and identifying technical opportunities for alternate courses of action.
- Utilize Azure DevOps, Phire, and Jenkins services for change management and CI/CD
- Maintain and support the integrity of the operating system environment and various computer systems across multiple domains.
- Perform systems maintenance tasks, such as system back-up, recovery and file maintenance on both Windows and Linux systems.
- Configure software and resolve technical problems.
- End user support for onsite and remote employees.
- Contribute to moderately complex aspects of a project.
- Administer, and troubleshoot a variety of operating systems.

- Due to the sensitive nature of the work being performed, a candidate must possess or be able to obtain a Secret Clearance.
- High School diploma with 14 years of relevant experience, or
- Associates degree with 12 years of relevant experience or,
- Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of relevant experience.
- Have a working knowledge of specific Oracle experience, to include:
- Solaris
- PeopleSoft
- Enterprise
- Unix/Linux Experience
- Be familiar with CI/CD Processes and Tools
- Demonstrated past work with databases, preferably Oracle
- Hold a Security Cert
- Demonstrated past work migrating On Prem to Cloud
- Possess Scripting Skills
- Additional background and experience in Cybersecurity
- Demonstrated past work on Department of War (DOW) Accredited projects
