Augustine Consulting, Inc. is a Woman-Owned Small Business professional services provider of engineering and technical services to the United States Government. We seek an experienced Installer/Electronic Technician to join our team to provide support to tactical radio systems through New Equipment Training (NET) in support of PM Tactical Radio (PM TR).
Duties and Responsibilities:
A successful Installer/Electronic Technician at ACI will perform the following duties:
- Independently responsible for troubleshooting, installation, and maintenance of C4ISR equipment as appropriate for the task.
- Capability to distinguish between hardware and software problems in multi-vendor systems.
- Perform fielding, installation, operations, test, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, over the shoulder training, exercise and test support and maintenance.
- Assists in the design, modification, development, construction, installation, alignment, operations, troubleshooting, and repairs of a variety of electronic and electro-mechanical instrumentation used in test and evaluation to control test conditions and/or record dynamic measurement data.
- Assists in the conduct of tests and evaluations of performances of electronic instrumentation by laboratory and field tests to ensure the adequacy of the instrumentation for use in solving existing problems which requires the development of test procedures and the employment of test techniques.

- Due to the sensitive nature of the work being performed, a candidate must possess an active Department of War (DOW) Secret clearance.
- Travel requirements will be up to 75% of the year to include CONUS and OCONUS locations, with the possibility of as little as 48 hours’ notice prior to a deployment.
- Associate’s or 2-year Technical School Degree (Degree preferred in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business or related scientific or technical discipline. (2 additional years of direct relevant technical experience may be substituted for education.)
- A minimum of 5 years’ related experience.
- Must have hands-on or educational experience in one of the following core technical areas: electronics, network support (hardware/software), computers (hardware or software), tactical radios, satellite networks, data encryption, web-based apps, encryption devices, COMSEC, or Platforms.
- Experience working with hand and power tools as these are used almost daily.
- Must be worldwide deployable and possess a valid US Driver’s License with the ability to obtain a valid passport within 30 days of employment.
- Must be able to read installation drawings and perform installations in accordance with drawings.
- Electronic component installation experience.
- Be detail oriented to ensure proper accountability of Government Furnished Equipment (GFE).
- Candidates should be computer literate and able to function using the Microsoft Office suite of programs.
- Candidates must qualify to rent a vehicle from various national rental car agencies.
- Able to use a spectrum analyzer to perform interference and other performance tests on installed equipment.
- Testing using Voltage Standing Wave Ratio (VSWR).
- Experience with PM Tactical Radios and/or COMSEC.
