Responsibilities include assisting students with exit counseling requirements and working proactively to prevent loan delinquency or default. This involves guiding borrowers through repayment options, including Income Driven Repayment (IDR) application process, and connecting them with their loan servicers.

Remote position which requires reliable internet service and a designated quiet area or place to work. The expected salary range for this role is between $40,000 - $45,000k. Actual pay will be adjusted based on job-related factors permitted by law, such as experience and training; licensure and certifications; market factors; departmental budgets; and responsibility. Responsibilities include assisting students with exit counseling requirements and working proactively to prevent loan delinquency or default. This involves guiding borrowers through repayment options, including Income Driven Repayment (IDR) application process, and connecting them with their loan servicers.
Default Management Functions
- Exit counseling requirements which involves speaking with or responding to emails from active and former students.
- Assist former students to bring their loan account current which includes calls, texts, emails, skip-tracing and conference calls to loan servicers. Maintain and update student files to ensure that information on their account is accurate, complete, and up to date.
- Serve as a liaison between borrowers and loan servicers or the Department of Education.
- Connect new enrollments or active students who are currently in default with the Department of Education or with loan servicers.
- Follow-up, advise and guide borrowers through the IDR application process.
- Meet weekly and monthly metrics/goals.
- Other duties as required or assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- High school diploma or equivalent; Associate degree preferred
- Preferred knowledge of Tile IV funding and National Student Loan Data System (NSLDS)
- Preferred experience in a call center environment
