Job Title: Phone Operator
Schedule: Full-Time | Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Reports To: Office Manager
Position Summary:
Field all incoming phone calls, document calls when appropriate, schedule appointments and task additional staff as needed
Key Responsibilities:
- Field all patient phone calls. For questions that can be answered, ensure detailed documentation is present in the patient record. For urgent calls, route to the appropriate staff. For all other calls, task to the proper personnel.
- Ensure all fielded calls that are tasked out are completed within 24 hours.
- Schedule all appointment requests via phone. For new patients, ensure a full registration is completed.
- Perform other tasks as needed or directed by the Company's management team.
Qualifications:
- Education & Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 2 years of relevant experience preferred.
- Experience working with Allscripts PM and EHR preferred.
- Familiarity with Providerflow or similar fax management systems is a plus.
- Skills:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office.
Work Environment:
- Standard office and clinical environment.
- Must be able to be active and mobile for an eight-hour period.
