Job Description
Right now we are largely interested in attracting candidates interested in 2 to 3 sleeping graveyard shifts per week, but are also looking for some day shift coverage as well. For the descriptions of these and other descriptions see just below.
Direct support staff are responsible to assist and support our clients with their day to day routines and activities, in and out of the individual's home. Part Time or Full Time available in a variety of shifts. Day shifts ($18.00/hr from about 9AM to 3 PM), and Swing shifts ($18.00/hr from about 3PM to 10PM) available at this time. Overnight shifts (which are considered "sleeping overnight shifts" and are paid at $134.00/shift from 10 PM to 9 AM) are also something that comes up and might be available, depending on where a new hire is primarily working.
General qualifications
- Must be happy, friendly, and service oriented
- Must have prior experience as a DSP
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must not have any history of neglect, abuse, violence or domestic charges
- Must be physically able to lift at least 50 pounds
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Must not suck at life
Responsibilities
- Personal, loving care and attention our client
- Assistance with meal preparation
- Assistance with keeping their home clean and nice
- Transportation to and from activities in personal vehicle (We reimburse for mileage)
- Assistance with individual’s personal hygiene
- Attending staff meetings, company meetings
- Documentation of the day’s activities, incidents, etc.
- Other types of day to day occurrences
