As an Intake Clinician, you will play a critical role in conducting comprehensive clinical intakes and assessments for children, adolescents, and adults, ensuring timely access to appropriate care and services.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive clinical intake assessments, including biopsychosocial evaluations, diagnostic impressions, and risk assessments.
- Gather and review client history to determine clinical needs, level of care, and service recommendations.
- Develop initial treatment recommendations and coordinate referrals as appropriate.
- Utilize evidence-based assessment tools and clinical judgment to support accurate documentation and care planning.
- Collaborate with therapists, psychiatrists, and administrative staff to ensure smooth transitions into ongoing services.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential clinical documentation in compliance with ethical, legal, and organizational standards.
- Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and contribute to coordinated, client-centered care.
- Stay current with best practices, compliance requirements, and developments in the mental health field.
- Active and unrestricted Maryland state license as an LCPC or LCSW-C.
- Prior experience conducting clinical intakes, assessments, or diagnostic evaluations preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment, documentation, and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish rapport with clients and collaborate with internal teams.
- Ability to work independently while functioning effectively within a multidisciplinary environment.
