What are the responsibilities and job description for the District Technician position at Audrain County Soil & Water Conservation District?
A position has become available for a District Technician at the Audrain County Soil & Water Conservation District. The position will work in Audrain County at the Mexico, MO office. Work will focus on delivering conservation technical assistance and cost-share to landowners and producers in the area. This is an entry level position (40 hours per week) with potential for advancement.
Duties:
Duties may include survey, design of conservation practices, conservation planning, contract and technical assistance, field work, routine office activities, communication with landowners and operators, outreach assistance, maintaining accurate records and reports, assisting NRCS personnel with USDA conservation programs, attending regular board meetings and training events, operating a motor vehicle to carry out regular duties, and any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Applicants must be able to lift and carry up to 50lbs over uneven terrain, have the capacity to work outdoors regardless of weather conditions, have a good working knowledge of computers and basic office software, be able to pass a background check, and possess a valid Missouri driver's license.
Ag-related experience is preferred, but not required.
