Job Overview

Audio Video Professionals LLC is seeking a skilled and motivated Low Voltage Technician to join our growing team. This position involves residential and commercial pre-wire work, system installation, equipment setup, and final deployment of low voltage systems. Ideal candidates will have experience with structured cabling, audio/video integration, networking, security systems, and clean professional installations.

We are looking for dependable technicians who take pride in workmanship, communicate professionally with customers, and can work independently or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform residential and commercial pre-wire installations
• Run and terminate low voltage cabling including:
• Cat5e/Cat6
• Speaker wire
• Coaxial cable
• Fiber (preferred but not required)
• Install and configure:
• Audio/video systems
• Home theater systems
• TVs and projector systems
• Distributed audio systems
• Security cameras
• Access control systems
• Networking equipment and Wi-Fi systems
• Rack build and cable management
• Device mounting and hardware installation
• Read blueprints, floor plans, and wiring diagrams
• Test and troubleshoot system functionality
• Maintain clean and organized job sites
• Provide excellent customer service during installations

QualificationsRequired

• Experience in low voltage pre-wire and trim-out
• Knowledge of structured cabling standards
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely
• Strong troubleshooting skills
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and work on ladders
• Strong attention to detail and professionalism

Preferred

• Experience with Crestron, Lutron, or similar systems
• Networking knowledge and Wi-Fi deployment experience
• AV rack installation experience
• Security camera and surveillance system setup
