Job Description
The Standard Operator plays a key role in supporting our workshop operations and contributing to the strategic objectives of on-time delivery, repair quality, performance, and cost efficiency. This role provides essential technical and logistical support to the watchmaking team through hands-on work with watch external components, as well as maintaining tools, stock, and workshop organization.
This is an excellent opportunity for an entry-level candidate who is eager to develop technical skills, enjoys working with their hands, and is comfortable working both independently and as part of a collaborative workshop environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Workshop Support
- Perform activities on external watch components, including:
- Uncasing and encasing
- Removal and fitting of tubes, crowns, pushers, correctors, straps, and bracelets
- Cleaning of external parts
- Water-resistance testing
- Work in alignment with the R010 External Parts level requirements
- Follow all company and Customer Service technical and quality processes
- Support administrative activities where applicable
Tool & Workshop Maintenance
- Maintain and clean washing machines and mechanical workshop equipment
- Ensure proper maintenance and organization of tools
- Monitor and manage workshop consumables and component kits
- Follow up on packaging materials and oils
- Support ordering and distribution of components
Continuous Improvement
- Actively contribute to the SPIRALE project and other initiatives focused on improving workshop efficiency, processes, and repair quality
Qualifications
- 0–3 years of experience preferred (training provided)
- Interest in technical craftsmanship and hands-on work
- Experience working with timepieces a plus
- High level of dexterity
- Ability to work autonomously with attention to detail
- Strong sense of organization and reliability
- Eagerness to learn and grow within a technical workshop environment.
Additional Information
Audemars Piguet offers a competitive and comprehensive compensation and benefits package. This role is eligible for bonus. Salary will be based on relevant skills and experience.
