What are the responsibilities and job description for the Kitchen Assistant District position at Auburn School Department?
Rate of pay $18.50 per hour, 27.5 hours per week, 177 days per year. Pay averaging
eligible.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Demonstrates an attitude of flexibility in work assignments
1. Able to work in a fast-paced environment
2. Interacts well with students and staff
3. Kitchen experience preferred
4. Ability to adapt to change quickly and efficiently
5. Follow instructions with a focus on accuracy for safe meal preparation and
state reporting.
JOB GOAL: Act as a floater between the schools while assisting in the preparation of the meal service for their students across the district.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Arrives and leaves work at appointed times.
2. Work in collaboration with the teams at the schools in the preparation and
serving of food in a quick and pleasant manner
3. Cashier training
4. Wash dishes, fill flatware stations, load milk, prepare meals, serve and daily clean up as assigned by manager.
5. Help replenish the food as needed
6. Adhere to Auburn School Department’s HAACP plan and follow strict protocols with cleaning and sanitizing including arriving to work in clean clothes,
7. Work together with staff at all schools to check in and put away orders safely, accurately and equitably.
8. Complete required (six) professional development hours annually at the dates
and times set by the Nutrition Director.
9. Other duties as assigned.
