In this role, you will help create a welcoming shopping experience by assisting customers, operating the register, maintaining organized front-of-store area, and supporting day-to-day store operations. - Deliver friendly, knowledgeable customer service to create a positive shopping experience.
- Greet customers when they enter the store and thank them for their visit as they leave.
- Assist customers with questions, product locations, and purchase decisions.
- Direct customers to the appropriate department or team member when needed.
- Accurately process sales, returns, and exchanges using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
- Handle cash, credit card, and digital payments responsibly.
- Promote the store’s loyalty program, promotions, and in-store events.
- Keep the front-end and cashier area clean, organized, and stocked.
- Maintain product displays and ensure merchandise is properly labeled.
- Monitor inventory levels in the front-of-store area and communicate restocking needs.
- Assist with assembling merchandise or displays for customers and store presentations.
- Support online and curbside pickup orders, ensuring they are accurate and completed in a timely manner.
- Answer customer inquiries in-store, over the phone, or related to online orders.
- Use Theatro communication technology to stay connected with store team members.
- Escalate customer concerns to store leadership when needed.
- Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and Aubuchon Core Values.
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous retail or customer service experience preferred.
- Weekend availability preferred.
- Positive and professional attitude.
- Strong customer service and organizational skills.
- Ability to apply basic math concepts.
- Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to bend, climb, twist, and move merchandise as needed.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to process transactions efficiently using the register system.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.; frequent lifting/carrying of up to 25 lbs.
- Comfortable standing, walking, bending, and reaching throughout shifts.
