This role involves assisting customers with product selection, offering tailored solutions, and maintaining an organized and well-stocked department.
- Provide world-class customer service by actively engaging with customers, understanding their needs, and recommending the right products.
- Serve as a trusted consultant by offering expert advice on paint types, finishes, tools, adhesives, caulks, and decorative techniques.
- Assist customers with project planning, including accurate product selection, pricing, and application guidance.
- Manufacture and tint paint, ensuring precise color matching.
- Offer expertise in industrial coatings and alternative applications.
- Maintain a clean and organized paint department, including equipment maintenance and inventory management.
- Utilize store communication technology (Theatro) and wear the assigned headset.
- Suggest complementary products to enhance customer purchases.
- Assist in training and developing team members in the paint department.
- Support general store operations, including cashiering, stocking, and inventory control.
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- 1 years of Retail Experience or equivalent experience.
- Prior experience in retail paint sales or professional painting is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of Benjamin Moore Paint and paint color matching preferred.
- Weekend Availability Required.
- Positive and professional personality.
- Strong customer service and organizational skills.
- Must be able to pass a motor vehicle record check if driving is required.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform various physical tasks such as standing, reaching, and bending.
