Role Summary
A Receiving Clerk ensures each delivery meets the property’s exacting standards. From fine linens to gourmet
ingredients, they carefully inspect shipments for quality, accuracy, and presentation worthy of a five-star experience.
With polished precision, they document inventory, coordinate with departments, and maintain seamless organization
behind the scenes. Discreet yet detail-obsessed, they swiftly resolve discrepancies to protect the guest experience. In
essence, they ensure every item entering the hotel reflects the sophistication and excellence guests expect.
Core Responsibilities
Please note that this is not an exhaustive list of everything that needs to be done! Within the Auberge family, our
people always find new ways to look after the business, their guests, and their fellow team members. The key
responsibilities for this position are:
● Receive, inspect, and verify all deliveries to ensure accuracy, quality, and alignment with the resort’s luxury
standards.
● Coordinate with purchasing, culinary, housekeeping, spa, and engineering teams to ensure timely distribution
of goods across all departments.
● Maintain precise inventory records, including logging shipments, tracking discrepancies, and updating
inventory systems.
● Communicate professionally with vendors and drivers to resolve shortages, damages, or delivery issues
promptly and discreetly.
● Organize and maintain receiving areas in immaculate condition, ensuring proper storage, labeling, and
compliance with safety and health standards.
● Performs additional duties, responsibilities, or projects as assigned to ensure exceptional guest service and
efficient operation of the hotel.
Required Qualifications
● Previous experience in receiving, warehouse operations, or inventory control, preferably within a luxury hotel
or resort environment.
● Strong attention to detail with the ability to inspect goods for quality, accuracy, and presentation standards.
● Proficiency in inventory management systems and basic computer applications.
● Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced setting.
● Professional communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with vendors and multiple resort
departments.Desirable Qualifications
● Experience at a luxury hospitality property.
Physical Requirements
● Frequently stands, walks, and bends for extended periods during an 8-hour shift.
● Regularly lifts, carries, or moves items weighing up to 75 pounds, and occasionally up to 50 pounds (e.g.,
linens, cleaning supplies, equipment).
● Pushes or pulls pallets and boxes weighing up to 1,000 pounds.
● Performs repetitive motions, such as stocking.
● Requires visual acuity to inspect deliveries.
● Works in environments with varying temperatures, humidity, and exposure to cleaning chemicals.
● Must be able to climb stairs and operate equipment safely.

Scheduled hours for this role will vary based on business demands and can include holidays and weekends.
