Au Beau Séjour French Preschool is a warm, community-driven French immersion preschool with two campuses in Oakland:
- ABS West Campus
- ABS Mountain Campus

Position Overview Preschool Teacher
Teachers lead the classroom and design engaging, developmentally appropriate activities that support children’s cognitive, emotional, social, and physical development.
Teachers also collaborate with families and the teaching team to ensure each child thrives.
Position Overview Teacher Assistant / Aide
Assistants support the lead teacher in the classroom and help create a nurturing environment where children feel safe, confident, and inspired to learn.
Key Responsibilities
- Create a respectful and nurturing classroom environment
- Plan and support engaging learning activities
- Encourage children’s independence and social development
- Maintain positive communication with families and staff
- Support daily routines and classroom organization
- Promote the values and mission of ABS
Qualifications Preschool Teachers
One of the following:
- 12 ECE units (Child Development, Child Family Community, Preschool Curriculum)
- AA / BA in Child Development, ECE, or related field
Plus:
- 1–2 years preschool teaching experience
- CPR & First Aid certification (EMSA certified)
Qualification Teacher Assistants / Aides
- 18 years or older
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Willing to complete ECE coursework
- Experience with toddlers or preschoolers preferred
- CPR & First Aid certification (EMSA certified)
Fluent French (spoken and written) is required for all positions.
