Our Providence Oyster Bar on Federal Hill is looking for a Sous Chef!!

Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Assist in daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating.

  • Supervise and support kitchen staff, ensuring efficiency and adherence to standards.

  • Maintain food quality, consistency, and presentation according to company guidelines.

  • Monitor inventory, proper storage, and rotation of ingredients following FIFO procedures.

  • Uphold kitchen cleanliness and sanitation, complying with health department standards.

  • Be aware of special requests and food allergies, communicating information to the team.

  • Assist in menu planning, recipe development, and kitchen organization.

  • Step in for the Executive or Head Chef as needed to ensure smooth operations.

  • Uphold the company's policies and procedures.

  • Be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

  • All other assigned duties.


Salary : $55,000 - $70,000
